Coopers Beach Childrens Camps

We host three camps per year, Boys & Girls camp in January, Boys camp in April and Girls camp in July. Camps include Bible teaching times, lots of indoor and outdoor fun activities, team building skills and opportunities for children to make new friends and develop new skills in a safe environment. Coopers Beach Summer Boys & Girls Camp!

Dates: Thursday 10 January to Monday 14 January 2019

Ages: Boys & Girls 9-13 years old

Cost: $90

The theme this year is Superheroes! Bible times will delve into heroes of the bible, heroes of NZ, what characteristics made them heroic and can we find those qualities in ourselves? Activity time will be chock full of fun adventures where your kids can stretch their abilities and learn new skills.

This year we have had a generous offer again of sponsored places through Breakaway Funding for girls and boys aged 11-13 years old. We would love to see this funding reach into families who are usually unable to afford a camp fee and if you feel your family fits this criteria then please apply during the registration process.

Camp Personnel:

This camp will be run by a full team of adults & student leaders & headed up by Lynley Fleming . We are committed to professional and safe practices and each leader and helper is subject to a vetting process. Your child’s safety will be paramount in all of our planning and activities. Please contact us if you would like more information or ask any questions.

To secure a place at camp both the signed registration form and $40 deposit must be received by the camp director. A confirmation email will then be sent to you to say you have a secure booking. No places can be held or reserved.

What to Bring:

Old clothes/shoes
Sleeping bag, undersheet & pillow
Toiletries & towel
Torch
Pens & colouring pencils
Togs, towel & sunscreen    (not required for July camp)
Drink bottle & sunhat    (not required for July camp)
Bible (if you have one)
Home baking or a packet of biscuits

No alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, knives, cellphones, Ipods/MP3 players or other electronic devices will be permitted on site. Please do not bring extra lollies or food

Leadership Opportunities

We need a team of student leaders 15 to 20 years old, who are in charge of a group of 7 boys or girls. In return for your hard work for the duration of camp, you will have the privilege of caring for children while they are away from home, having fun while joining in activities with them, supervising their duties and teaching them about Gods love through Jesus. If you haven’t been a leader for us before, you need to supply two references along with your application.
